The retina-scorching slice of vehicular vajazzlement you see sat in front of you is being touted as the world’s most expensive motorcycle.
That’s because the Bucherer Harley-Davidson Blue Edition costs around £1.4m to buy and features unconventional accoutrements blended into the bike’s design, such as a Carl F. Bucherer watch (based on the Patravi TravelTec II) that’s fitted to the right-hand side of the tank and a Solitaire Heaven ring with a flawless 5.40-carat diamond smuggled into the left.
The entire bike is silver-plated. Every screw used in the build is plated with rose gold. The foot pegs, valves and grips are draped in gold. And ignition is taken care of with a finger scanning system.

Better still, those pieces of extravagant fine jewellery pieces that feature on the tank are housed in individual glass domes that act as safes, while the unit that hosts the watch will also wind the automatic movement.
As you can probably tell, the Bucherer Harley-Davidson Blue Edition isn’t your run of the mill backyard build project and, according to fine jewellery specialists Bucherer, the blinged-out Harley-Davidson Softail Slim S took that chaps at Bündnerbike the bets part of a year to complete.
The result is a machine that demands onlookers spend hours poring over the finer details, including the five specially crafted pieces from Bucherer Fine Jewellery’s Dizzler ring collection, which are dotted around the frame and feature 360 diamonds (32.962 carat) in total.
Perhaps most interestingly of all is the engine casing, which has been completely reworked to feature special transparent panels that allow for the inner workings of the machine to be illuminated from the inside with dazzling blue LEDs.

The remainder of the lighting system is cleverly integrated into the fenders and bars, while the air suspension system can be adjusted all round to adapt the ride to suit.
