March has been particularly cold and cruel to us warm-blooded folk on the south coast and the evening of March 22nd 2018 wasn’t any kinder.
But that didn’t stop a gang of hardy people descending on S-Bomb Vintage Workshop in Poole to enjoy a night of free beer, music, chat and automotive delights, as we celebrated turning a year older.
Flat-Out began life as an idea at the end of 2016 but has grown into a fully-fledged automotive outlet with a close-knit group of followers that not only enjoy but also regularly engage with our content.
“The first anniversary party was a chance to say a big ‘thanks’ to all who have helped us thus far”
In our short time we have ridden Indian Scouts up mountains in Switzerland, camped in the Arctic Circle, road-tripped to Wheels & Waves, visited myriad custom motorcycle builders and driven a whole host of exotic machinery in equally glamorous surroundings.
The first anniversary party was a chance to say a big ‘thanks’ to all who have helped us thus far and as a result, our good friends at Eight Arch Brewery provided enough free beer for all.
Pete from Side Rock Cycles unveiled his latest BMW-based Bobber creation, which will be going on show at Bike Shed London this year but afforded Flat-Out fans an exclusive first look.
Our chums at Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, who have been a big support since day one, turned up in the Ford F100 to serve awesome White Russians and hand out some of their fine Iced Coffee to those avoiding the alcohol due to driving duties.
“Here’s to the next one! See you there”
LucanArt was also on hand to create some fine live artworks, choosing as old motorcycle tanks as his canvas, as well as capturing the shots you see on this page. He also sketched the designs seen on our first batch of T-shirts, stickers and badges.
The temperature may have been Baltic, the car park a little tight and our electric set-up a little dodgy (yes, it blew the DJ’s mixer before he got started) but the food, drinks and chat flowed.
Here’s to the next one! See you there.
Many thanks to Titch at S-Bomb, Dozzers Smoke House & Grill for providing the food, DJ Max Ray, the guys at Velo Domestique, our good friends at Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, Eight Arch Brewery, Motoratus Clothing for displaying their garments and Moore Speed Racing for bringing the noise.
Oh, and all the lovely folk who braved the cold in a car, on a bike or on foot to come and see us.
